-Member of a team of hostess: We were
recruited in order to organize events
and to guide people around. During those events, I had to make sure
that, people had been aware about the kind of event, where to go to participate
and how to get more information about it. I had to make sure that people did
not get lost.

-Administrative management structure: A part of
my job was also to check and order
mails, lettersand orders.
The Organization had many different orders according to events themselves,
everything had to be in control so I had to
classified and follow the process.

-Making appointments: The Organization had to send invitations and to do
advertising in order to interest people. So from the first week of the
summer I had to pass information about events and distribute flyers at malls,
market and sometimes at the corner of some main streets.

SUMMER 2010-2011: Interpreter,
Translator and Hostess, ALLIANCE FRANCAISE (Pretoria-SOUTH AFRICA)

-Answer the phone and host people inside: At the ALLIANCE FRANCAISE, I had to give informationabout
the cultural center and its activities.
I also had to speak in both
languages according to people who came and make sure they all
understood the program of the cultural center. There was different section such
as the library about the French culture, a small room full of painting and
sculpture about the French art, offices and a small restaurant. Around the
cultural center, I had toguide and answer in both languages
to people who came to visit and discover la France and its culture.

-Explain in both languages (French and English): Most people who came at the Cultural center were
more found of an oral presentation about different rooms and their utility. So
I spoke in French when there was a group of French citizen and at the same time
I translated what I was just saying to people who spoke English. Every day the
Cultural Center organized role play and put movies in French. During those
2hours my job was to translate,
interpret sometimes and teach how to pronounce some French expression.

SUMMER 2008-2010: Translator and
Hostess at the Sandton Guest House (Johannesburg-SOUTH AFRICA).

-Guide French customers:
At the Sandton Guest House of Johannesburg, I had to make French customers
comfortable during their visit in the guest house. My job was to provide all informationabout everything they need in order to make things easy for them.
Many of them came as tourist in South Africa and they wanted to discover, learn
about the culture and enjoy themselves in this beautiful city. I was there to
tell them where to go and advise them
about restaurants, clubs, and show and funny activities. In addition to that, I was in charge to make any kind of reservation
(cab and road trip). In order to see all customer content I had to make myself
clear in French and in English.

l’Interprétation, et actuellement en j'aimerais vous proposer ma candidature pour
un poste en tant qu’interprète de liaison junior.

Bilingue,
organisée et motivée. Je suis intéressée par l’interprétation de liaison. Dans ce domaine, j’exploiterai d'une
part mon niveau de langue à l’écrit et à
l’oral. Forte de mes expériences bénévoles à Pretoria (Afrique du Sud) et à
Libreville (Gabon), un poste de ce type serait
idéal pour moi. De plus durant mes 4 années passées à l’Université de Pretoria et mes 2 années
passées à l’école de Traduction et d’Interprétation de Mons (Belgique), j’ai
étudié la traduction et l’interprétation
de textes écrits et oraux du français vers l’anglais et de l’anglais
vers le français.

Certes,
actuellement je suis en poste en tant qu’hôtesse bilingue polyvalente à Paris
mais ce n’est pas ma formation universitaire et je suis bien décider à
travailler dans mon domaine.

J’ai étudié
et été former pour être interprète ou/et traducteur. Durant mes étude à l’EII,
j’étais plus à l’aise en cour d’interprétation, je crois que cela est dû au fait que je suis
une personne qui aime communiquer et qui aime être en contacter avec les autres. En tant qu’interprète de liaison je serais habilité
à aider une personne qui parle la langue (anglaise ou française) mais qui a
besoin d’aide. Plus précisément, il s’agit
d’assistance linguistique.

Mes
atouts principaux sont mes compétences linguistes. Deux années à l’Ecole
d’interprètes internationaux de Mons (Belgique) m’ont permis de perfectionner
mon niveau d’anglais et mon assurance à l’oral et à l’écrit. Ma curiosité naturelle me pousse à entretenir
ma culture générale, et cette soif de connaissance engendre une grande
ouverture d'esprit. Dotée d'un bon sens de l'organisation, j'apprécie
particulièrement le travail en équipe. Certes, les méthodes de d’interprétation
changent continuellement mais je m’adapte vite, je maitrise ma langue
maternelle et mon vocabulaire dans la
langue anglaise est riche suite à cela je me permets de vous envoyer ma candidature.
